Style Spinoff is a video series that showcases easy styling tips that can help viewer transition one look to another. The type is custom designed with both serif and sans serif characteristic in mind, as a nod to the two drastically different looks that are featured in each episode. The spinning O is inspired by the signature camera transition in this series that is in a similar spinning motion, it is also meant to signify the different facets of each fashion look.

Hype Machine is an editorial series that tests sought-after products and determines whether are ~ worth the hype ~. The variation in type heights is symbolic of celebratory gestures such as the stadium wave or jumping up and down in excitement.

Shady is the award-winning docu-series from R29 that highlights the dark side of the beauty industry. The letter form is based on R29’s brand font Brown. Thin shaded treatments to echo its namesake.

The two logos above are created as part of the brand refresh project for R29’s popular 29Rooms. Original design is created by the amazing Natalia Grosner. As part of brand refresh, the shadows and mazes are revised to be less complex. Number 29 is revised to be in the same form as the 29 from R29 logo, and a thicker, simplified version is created for usage at a small scale.

The Score is an editorial series created by R29’s shopping team. It is created to inform readers of the best deal and discount out in the market. Letters are designed to look like they are hopping out of the screen, echoing the excited feelings of ~ scoring ~ a big deal.

Shop It Forward is an editorial series that highlight brands with special focus on good causes. The two mirroring hands are meant to be a direct visual representation of support and giving.

Tehran Unveiled is a docu-series that highlights the groundbreaking women of Iran. The tactile letterform takes inspiration from the traditional Farsi hand lettering, and the veil-like wave speaks directly to the “unveiling” in the title.
